This was changed on purpose, doorman used to not be stunned or targeted before this change, as a holliday player I'd notice a doorman was about to ult me and I lassoed but it would never work, I'd lasso but the stun wouldn't work, they changed it so the T3 matters.

like many castables, they are NOT instant. Geist, Mo, Abrams all have periods of "winding up" their ultimate for it to start, some are short like mo and geist (0.1-0.3s) and obviously Abrams is longer. Same for your ult, it's not instant, just fast
