this is NOT a distraction... this is a deliberate crippling of supply chain infrastructure... Governments have a habit of CREATING a problem and then coming in with a "MAGIC" solution that takes away MORE of your freedom...

Not really you are just noticing it now and trying to give a wrong meaning to it. Accidents happen on bridges all the time, some bridges fall some stand. New bridges are also build every day. That's the cycle of a bridges life.
