I know these streets. I lived in Karachi. I did my engineering in Karachi. So when I watch this enormous celebration moving from Empress Market towards Teen Talwar , I understand exactly what it means for the city. It practically cripples Karachi. Roads are taken over, traffic comes to a standstill and, for a while, one of the busiest cities in the world has to make room for this extraordinary expression of faith. And you know what? I love it. Let them have the streets. Let them celebrate. Let them sing their prayers and call out the name of Ram. Let their children see their parents and grandparents celebrating without fear or apology. Look beyond the traffic and the inconvenience and see what is actually happening: freedom is taking up space. Karachi belongs to them too. Having lived there, I know the scale of what I am watching. It reminds me of the great processions of Bombay — a huge city temporarily surrendering part of itself to faith, colour, humanity and celebration. That is the beautiful thing. For too long, India and Pakistan have allowed religion to become a dividing line between us. Yet here, on the streets of Karachi, is another possibility: Hindus celebrating their faith openly in a Muslim-majority country while fellow Pakistanis make space for them. To my Hindu brothers and sisters: this is your home. Celebrate it. Enjoy it. Be proud of it. And when I hear the joyful cries of “Jai Shri Ram,” I do not hear a threat to my own faith. I hear another human being expressing theirs. That is the Pakistan I want. A Pakistan confident enough in its Muslim identity that it does not fear the prayer of a Hindu, the gurdwara of a Sikh, the church of a Christian, or the beliefs of anyone else. And that is the message I want to send across the border as well: let us become secure enough in who we are that we no longer need to diminish one another. Let India be India. Let Pakistan be Pakistan. But let Indians and Pakistanis be human beings to one another. May we bury hatred, not each other.

In Kharkiv, assistance is currently being provided to the victims in the areas hit by Russian glide bombs. As of now, dozens of people have been reported injured, including children. Russia dropped two aerial bombs right on the city, on people. One hit near a residential building, the other struck a civilian enterprise. Emergency services are now working to extinguish the fire there. These are utterly senseless strikes with no military purpose whatsoever. And we see that this is Russia's only intention – to continue aggression and killings. That is precisely why we need support in defense – strong air defenses, expanded weapons production. All of this will help save lives. We count on cooperation with our partners and are grateful to everyone already willing to help. Back in January 2025 when I moved into my new home, I found Biscuit. He was being chased by dogs, and I took him in. Biscuit and I instantly bonded. He rode with me in my truck. He would chill on my shoulders when I walked around the house. He slept with me. He was truly my friend. When I posted about Biscuit when I found him, everybody loved him. He's was truly a unique cat. I didn't post about what happened to him, because it took me a long time to process. One day, earlier this year, Biscuit got out and was hit by a car. We never found out who did it. I was the one who found him. All I could do was bury him and mourn him. I've been around a lot of animals in my life. I love them, and I'll protect them at all costs. Strait of Hormuz the last 24 hours: fighting time. Well, it looks like the Strait is closed again. IRGC fired at two ships, one of them is sinking, so there's that. The US tried to get another group of tankers in, and two were hit. The two VLCCs made it in. Incredible that these tanker owners are fearless. As the escalation continues, tankers will likely transit without AIS on, but they ultimately turn it back on after they pass, so we will see them. Strait of Hormuz the last 24 hours: fighting time. Well, it looks like the Strait is closed again. IRGC fired at two ships, one of them is sinking, so there's that. I felt that the price was fair and I purchased at 5am. Seconds later, I get a dm from the anonymous seller on Instagram. “Hey this is Brian”. A German guy, few followers. What I learned next is nothing short of f*cking legendary. I’ll let him tell the story from here, and I’ll accompany the epic tale with photo and video proof.
