I taught high school for years. Every kid was on 3 medications and claimed to have ADD, ADHD, PTSD, be neurodivergent, be on the spectrum, or self-diagnosed with some other bullshit. 99.9% of the time it was just an excuse to be an asshole.

It's a real condition. It's diagnosed by a neurologist. I have FND, but because of people like this I never want to say I have FND because it was rare enough as it was and now people don't believe it's real because of these people. They are doing the same thing with MS. It's very upsetting for us who have had our lives upturned by FND and been left in wheelchairs or worse.

I was diagnosed with this bullshit after collapsing, by a neurologist when I knew it was my spine that was the problem. Neuro gave me brain mri, came back clear and I got that bullshit diagnosis. Eventually my rheumatologist gave me a whole spine mri and my oh my did it not show my cervical and lumbar spine as being fucked. Multiple fuked discs with thecal sac compression and nerve root compression on both sides. I will never trust a neurologist again, as I went two years with a bad diagnosis and once I was diagnosed the same neurologist said, since you’ve had it for two years I do not advise surgery, but had it been caught at the time, we might have been able to do something about it, but not now.
