We just rescued a dog from the airport area… who was struck by a fast-moving vehicle, maybe a bike or a car. There are no external injuries, but the pain he is going through is unbearable to watch. He cannot stand, he cannot walk, he is not eating… he is just lying there, crying in pain, trying to understand what happened to him. We immediately took him to the vet. Painkillers have been given, his blood work is done, and now we have entered the most difficult phase — the vet has advised us to wait and watch. The next 24 hours are absolutely critical for him. Please keep this sweet soul in your kind prayers. Animals cannot speak, they cannot ask for help… they only suffer silently. Let this be a reminder for all of us please drive carefully. A small moment of carelessness can take away someone’s entire world, whether a human or an innocent animal who shares these roads with us #dogs

Ben Johnson said today: He tends to make a play every day if we can harness all this energy and make sure that we can trust him and he’s going to align where he needs to and run the route the way we need him to then we really could use him and he could be a big weapon for us this year. A true test of ultimate patience and faith by this TB gelding’s owners…this wonderful racehorse came to us in Nov 24 for 2nd opinion.Euthanasia had been recommended by another specialist for a very complicated stifle injury-a nasty joint infection combined w/a very painful bone contusion/cyst. He was crippled at the walk for months but an incredibly cooperative patient. At times, we really couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel but he made us keep trying. Intense medical treatment, physical therapy,and lots and lots of time. The owners kept saying “let’s give him another month” and then another, and another until he began to turn the corner! His X-rays filled in, he started using his leg, and exercise was gradually increased until….THIS! He is sound, happy, and finally going home this week🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 WOW #powerofpatience
