One of the moments that surprised and moved me during Shri Siddaramaiah avara press meet was him recalling how my father, Manchanahalli Mahadev, was among the MLAs who stood with him and left the JD(S) to join the Congress. In politics, memories fade quickly, so it was heartening that he still remembered and expressed gratitude to people like my father after all these years. My earliest memories of him go back to childhood. Whenever he came home, there would always be a crowd, and my great-grandmother would have people rush to Hampapura to bring Havbatti, a rare local eel fish he loved. I still remember being amazed watching someone who was clearly very important (he had crowds and for a kid, that’s the metric) happily sit down for a simple meal in our village home in Manchanahalli. I began seeing him more closely after my father won in 2004, and over the years he became a familiar presence around our home and political conversations. Growing up, every time he saw me, he would say, “What, young lady?” and speak with warmth and kindness. The last time I visited him with my father, I still remember how happy he was that I was going to study law. Despite the busy schedule and intensity of his post, he was always warm and approachable. One thing I will never forget is how he came rushing the moment he heard my father had passed away. In politics, where relationships often become transactional, his kindness carried immense meaning for us. Over the years, while my own path diverged into organisational roles, I have always appreciated how extraordinarily knowledgeable, politically astute, and well-read he was. Whatever the political realities of today, he remains one of the tallest architects of social justice Karnataka has seen in modern times. Above all, perhaps selfishly, I am grateful that after all these years, he still remembered and acknowledged the contribution of a man like my father. Thank you, Sir, and wishing you the very best always.

Two women are chatting in an office. Woman 1: "I had sex last night, did you?" Woman 2: "Yes." Woman 1: "Was it good?" Woman 2: "No, it was a disaster... my husband came home, ate his dinner in three minutes, got on top of me, finished having sex in five minutes, rolled over and fell asleep in two minutes. How was yours?" Woman 1: "Oh it was amazing! My husband came home and took me out to a romantic dinner. After dinner we walked for an hour. When we came home he lit the candles around the house and we had an hour of foreplay. We then had an hour long session of fantastic sex and afterwards talked for an hour. It was like a fairytale!" At the same time, their husbands are talking at work. Husband 1: "You wanted sex last night, how was it?" Husband 2: "Great. I came home, dinner was on the table, I ate, had sex with my wife and fell asleep. It was great! What about you?" Husband 1: "It was horrible. I came home, there's no dinner because they cut the electricity because I hadn't paid the bill; so I had to take my wife out to dinner which was so expensive that I didn't have money left for a cab. We had to walk home which took an hour - and when we got home I remembered there was no electricity so I had to light candles all over the house! I was so angry that I couldn't get it up for an hour and then I couldn't climax for another hour. After I finally did, I was so aggravated that I couldn't fall asleep and my wife was jabbering away for another hour!"🥰🤣🤣🤣

“He can’t hear or speak - how can he work in the kitchen?” Last month, someone I knew from my hometown sent me a CV, asking if he would be a fit in the RCP kitchen. His name was Vipin. Deaf-mute by birth, he was working as a staff cook in a hotel. I will be honest, I was concerned as to how he would fit in the hectic and fast pace of the kitchen. But something in me said otherwise. It was my heart. Without any hesitation, I called up my Head chef at RCP Kochi and asked him to set up a trial for Vipin - and guess what happened? The 25-year-old shocked everyone in the kitchen!❤ Committed, neat, disciplined and calm - it was as if it was second nature to him. Whatever we threw at him, he handled it with great poise and maturity. The very next day, he joined our family at RCP Kochi.💕 Today, he is a brother to the 30-odd chefs working in the kitchen. They cook together, smile together, strive together and learn together. When I met him, I only told him one thing: “As long as this restaurant exists, you can call this home.” I don’t know if he understood it or not, but he held my hands tightly and looked at me. The moment I saw his eyes, I knew. I knew my heart was right - this boy was special. Food has no language. You don’t need eyes, you don’t need ears. - all you need is a heart filled with passion for feeding people love. Vipin, you are an inspiration to me, for the entire RCP family. We’re all here as your sound and words, for as long as you need us. So happy for you, brother!😍
