Shoshana Strock, in her last video, filmed about a month before her murder and not published for reasons concerning her personal safety, begged for help, after being assaulted by her father again and driven away from her apartment. Shoshana was murdered while in a hideout in the northern settlement of Amirim. The press reported she committed suicide "at holiday apartment in the Galilee".

The Fiqishini tribe, which inhabits a single village in Sool region shared with another Dhulbahante clan, is still dissatisfied despite being granted 19 representatives. They now have more representation than the Naaleye Ahmed sub-clan of the Dhulbahante, which resides in Sanaag region. Their overrepresentation in the SSC state building process is largely due to their clan ties with Somalia’s president and foreign minister. Fiqishini have found a way to exploit this connection, and Firdhiye may come under pressure from Mogadishu to accept these new terms in return for political legitimacy.
