Soon, he started luring poor women with Rs 1000 envelopes and a bottle of “miracle water” claiming it would cure diseases if consumed with “Hallelujah”. He told them to discard Sanatan symbols and stop celebrating Hindu festivals as they attract “devil” and “evil spirits” and cause diseases Ramnath Manjhi - with no backing or resources - saw through the plan. He knew it was no school but a conversion factory. He went door to door, led a protest, got jailed for a day, but didn’t stop till construction was stopped Jyoti Prakash has not returned since then. Entire village is now united to protect their traditions We Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation are proud to support Manjhi, who is from SC Dusadh community and quite poor.
