Exactly a year ago yesterday, on the 3 Feb 2025, 15-year-old Harvey Willgoose was tragically stabbed in the heart in his Sheffield school by fellow pupil Mohammed Umar Khan. Before that, there were 130 incidents / red flags about Khan's behaviour. This is an important reminder of why teachers need tools - like permanent exclusion - to assert adult authority, no ifs, no buts.
