2 years ago, i dreamed of joining vshojo. i made it past first round of auditions and got too excited. tho the 2nd round was just about equipment/pc & internet specs, i didnt pass, and it crushed me. i felt quite dumb for thinking i had a chance 🥲 this year was another chance, and i didnt make it past the first round, but i had a lot of fun making my video- it said to make a 2 min video “explaining who you are” & i struggled sm w the concept that the end result was silly & probably a little cringe. but i wanted to share it anyways, cause i am, or at least /was/ proud of it. many vtubers dream of joining an agency and believe it’ll make all their dreams come true, others find them evil and deceptive. i dont think it’s so black & white. i still would like to join one one day, mostly for camaraderie and support with the things i struggle w on my own. it may never happen, but i am still very thankful to have so many people cheering me on regardless- if it weren’t for them i might not have believed in myself enough to keep auditioning for things at all. i’m excited to see what 2025 has in store for us all. thank you for being here with me! 🤍 💌 ~love, inko

The Maybach Music tag comes from a casual studio moment during the recording of Rick Ross’s 2008 track “Maybach Music” (featuring Jay-Z) from the album "Trilla"‼️. Australian supermodel Jessica Gomes and a friend (another Australian model) had just arrived in New York and ended up hanging out in a studio session with Rick Ross and Jay-Z‼️. The guys liked their Australian accents and asked them to hop on the mic and say a few lines over the track‼️. Jessica later described it roughly like this: someone says “What is this⁉️”, she replies “Maybach Music,” her friend says “I like this Maybach Music,” and they both say “Sweet.” Jay-Z helped shape the “What is this⁉️ Maybach Music” part that ended up on the record. Producers (J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League) and Ross chopped and kept using the “Maybach Music” portion as a recurring tag‼️. It first appeared on that song and then became the signature sound for Ross’s catalog, Maybach Music Group (MMG) artists like Meek Mill and Wale, and many features‼️. Jessica had no idea it would become one of the most recognizable tags in hip-hop‼️.
