Another major crack just appeared inside the regime, yet another sign that Trump is cooking the Islamic Republic from within. On Saturday (June 27), 63 members out of 88 of the Assembly of Experts (Khobregan) (the clerical body that selects the Supreme Leader) issued a public statement. They declared...

Fox News correspondent Steve Harrigan says the Iranian regime is staging crowds to push Mojtaba Khamenei as the new supreme leader. But many aren’t buying it — state television refuses to show people yelling from apartment windows: “Death to Mojtaba!” HARRIGAN: “We’ve seen some real orchestrated scenes, of joy and jubilation in Iran, orchestrated by the government and captured by Iran state TV, showing crowds of people delighted with the selection of a new supreme leader.” “But what’s not being shown on state television are people shouting from their apartment windows: ‘Death to Mojtaba!’” MCALLUM: “Very quickly, Steve, you show these protests that the Iranian leadership is allowing to go out, which shows support in the streets for the new Khamenei, but the internet is still shut down in Iran so far as we know, so we’re not seeing the other protestors against this leadership.” “Maybe with the exception of what you talk about from the windows above this, right?” HARRIGAN: “You’re right. There are really two medias.” “One orchestrated by the public, and when you see these images on television you have to keep in mind this is just a fraction of the story.” “There are people, tens of thousands, who were killed, and in large part aided by this new supreme leader. He’s a hardliner darling.” “He was a former member of the Revolutionary Guards, he’s their man, and there’s a lot of people not happy—just like President Trump is not happy.”

Hamas leadership has been living lavishly in Qatar while the people that they claim to represent in Gaza are suffering. They’ve been directing a war from the comfort of their five-star hotels for almost two years, refusing to release the 48 hostages that are still being held in Gaza. Today, Israeli officials announced that they took a targeted action against these Hamas leaders who have been terrorizing the region for years. This war in Gaza is brutal. It has to end. Palestinians are suffering, Israelis are suffering. The entire region is suffering. The people of Gaza, the Arab League, the US and Israel are all saying the same thing. Hamas must be removed from power. Inside Gaza, people are risking their lives to protest Hamas, and they’re being silenced, beaten, even killed on the streets. They know that Hamas is the reason Gaza is in ruin. They know that Hamas is the one who started the war, and Hamas is the reason that it hasn’t ended yet. And this has been Hamas’s plan all along, force Israel into a war it never wanted to fight, but has to win. Hamas spent years preparing the October 7th attack. They knew exactly what an urban war in a densely populated area would look like. They all went into hiding and left their people out to suffer. And these devastating consequences for the people of Gaza? That was a part of their strategy, to delegitimize Israel’s standing in the eyes of the world. They knew what they were doing, and Israel could not and still cannot allow these jihadists to live on its borders. No other nation would allow that. This is the linchpin of the entire conflict right now. Once Hamas is gone, the war ends, the suffering ends, and Gaza can finally rebuild. So today, Israel sent a message that there’s no safe place for terrorists anywhere on Earth, and we all need to stand together and say release the hostages, remove Hamas, end the war.

[WATCH] THE PRESIDENT WILL NOT RESIGN. When it comes to the President, there is always a distinctive role between him being the President of the party and the state. There are many factors that influence the state in terms of governance and stability. If the President is called upon by some to resign and he keeps quiet it can throw the state into a state of turmoil. I want to make it clear that the officials agreed with the President on his approach, he took us into confidence and explained the factors that led him to make that particular pronouncement. We believe that the President did the right thing in pronouncing in the best interest of South Africa that he will not be resigning. There was nothing in terms of the judgment that warranted the President to resign it was just mere calls made by individuals and political parties that wanted to throw our country into a state of turmoil, uncertainty and anxiety. So it was imperative that he focus on that. It was correct for him to tell the country that from where he is standing there is nothing in the judgement that states he has done any wrongdoing and what he is going to do with the options in front of him and he has made this public. The President will take the Section 89 Report on review based on the outcome of the judgment and the legal advice he has received. There are no daggers out for the President to resign just opportunistic elements. These elements do not know what they want, they want to impeach and want him to resign, they do know what they actually want. The veracity of the report has not been tested in any committee so they don’t have a basis for the President to resign.

#WATCH | On being asked about the West Asia conflict and where the Islamabad MoU stands right now, Senior Journalist, Political Commentator & Author, Fareed Zakaria says, "It's completely dead. It was predictable that it would be dead... Iran has figured out it has a usable nuclear weapon that can be used as leverage, which is control over the Strait of Hormuz...What we are trying to solve now is a problem created by the war itself, and even that has not been solved. In my opinion, the whole thing is a very humiliating defeat for the United States" "It's completely dead. And it was predictable that it would be dead because it is a memorandum of misunderstanding...Iran has figured out it has a usable nuclear weapon, in other words, a weapon that is actually more powerful because it can be used as leverage. That leverage is control over the Strait of Hormuz, and they want to assert that power...To give you an understanding of how poorly this war has gone for the United States, remember President Trump's original goal, which was to destroy the Iranian regime, have the people of Iran launch an uprising, and bring democracy to Iran. That didn't work. The goal number two became the nuclear issue...The desire to get the Iranians to hand over their enriched uranium, swear that they would never use it again, and permanently end the program none of that has happened. The third goal then became control of the Strait of Hormuz, which, of course, was open before the war. What we are trying to solve now is a problem created by the war itself, and even that has not been solved. In my opinion, the whole thing is a very humiliating defeat for the United States" Watch full interview here:

VIDEO | The Lok Sabha Secretariat has issued notices to 20 rebel Trinamool Congress MPs and sought their replies within seven days on petitions filed by TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee seeking their disqualification under the anti-defection law. TMC MP Sagarika Ghose (Sagarika Ghose) says, "What has happened today is highly significant. It is a breakthrough. It is very important. Because after two months, the Speaker's office has finally issued a notice to the 20 traitors... Finally, a notice has gone to these 20 traitors that they have to give an answer within seven days on disqualification petition against them... The Speaker's office has sat on it for two months and has only now acted after the intervention of the Supreme Court yesterday, when Mr. Abhishek Banerjee approached the Supreme Court yesterday, the Supreme Court has intervened in the matter and now the speaker's office has finally given a notice to these 20 traitors who have betrayed the mandate of the people and violated the constitution. Now, a notice is only the first step. A notice is only the first step. It is important, it is a breakthrough, but it is only a first step because these 20 traitors, they attract the 10th schedule, they attract the anti-defection law, they are in violation of the constitution, they are in violation of the 10th schedule, the 10th schedule clearly specifies that MPs in the parliament cannot merge, only the original party can merge, MPs cannot merge, therefore they are in violation of the constitution and they must be disqualified. So, a notice is an important breakthrough. It is a significant development, but it is only a first step." #TMC
