So China is going for more coal — and it’s all addition, with no transition — while Australia is all about attempted replacement. There’s a huge fundamental difference between the two positions. Yet the Congresswoman doesn’t seem to know what the law is. Zeldin asks her if she knows what Section 202 Clean Air Act is. She doesn’t seem to know. It’s the law that the EPA has to follow. He can’t change what the law says. That’s up to Congress. The Clean Air Act was established in 1963 under President Lyndon B Johnson. It has been amended many times through Congress.
