Punch then sat down, apparently giving up on communicating with the monkey, after which he was scolded and dragged by an adult monkey. The adult monkey that dragged Punch is probably the mother of the monkey with whom Punch tried to communicate. She probably felt that her baby was annoyed by Punch and got upset, expressing "don't be mean." Punch has been scolded by other monkeys many times in the past and has learned how to socialize with them. In the video, Punch runs to his stuffed orangutan toy after being dragged. However, as usual, he left the stuffed toy after a short while and was communicating with other monkeys. The video was probably recorded on the morning of February 19. During feeding time at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., Punch acted no differently than on any other day. In order to integrate Punch into other Japanese monkey troops, we anticipated that this kind of challenge may arise. Although Punch has been scolded many times by other monkeys, no single monkey has shown serious aggression toward him. While Punch is scolded, he shows resilience and mental strength. The zoo gaslighting Punch and his supporters AGAIN. Punch is the only baby monkey without a mom. He is the lowest ranking troop member because of it. Punch is a target and much more susceptible to being attacked which we have been watching all week. The other monkeys have their mother and family’s protection. Punch had his dad a few minutes a day. It brings him comfort. The zoo has decided his dads are to have no contact with them. It’s deplorable and cruel.

The temperature had reached 30°C, and poor Punch looked exhausted from the heat. He approached the group, perhaps hoping for a little comfort or simply to sit beside someone. But no one welcomed him or seemed concerned about him. Finally, he gathered the courage to sit next to the others, only to be pushed away by a big, grumpy monkey. Punch screamed and moved to another side of the group. Yet again, another monkey pushed him away. Frightened and heartbroken, he cried and climbed back to his tiny, narrow rock shelter. Watching this is truly heartbreaking. Even though Punch has friends around him, at the end of the day, everyone returns to their own families while Punch remains alone.
