Labour Minister Jess Phillips came to the House of Commons to provide an update to MPs on the government’s Rape Gang Inquiry. What a disappointment. No details, no terms of reference, no date for when it will conclude. The truth is this government never wanted to do this inquiry - they were dragged kicking and screaming to do it - and from the lack of action so far, I wonder if they are ever going to do it?

I recall reading about how those who opposed women's suffrage used to use women to speak out against other women. This reminds me of that. You do know don't you Victoria Derbyshire that it was survivors and campaigners that forced Oldham Council to write to the government demanding a Public Inquiry into the cover up of the gang rape of our town's children? Surely, if The Guardian wants to defend Jess Phillips like this, they would do it with survivors from Oldham? There's just one problem with that though isn't there? These are the survivors you can hear in the background to the at time leader of Oldham Council Amanda Chadderton. She was voting to block calling in the government. Oh, and a footnote, once we campaigned and removed Chadderton from power, Yvette Cooper gave her a job as her Campaign Manager. That's right, the previous leader of Oldham Council, removed from her position for her role in helping cover up the gang rape of children, now works for the Home Secretary. For those of you new to me, my name is Raja Miah. I am responsible for exposing the cover up of the gang rape of Oldham's children and led the campaign for a public inquiry. I've been at this for 6 years. Neither I, the people of my town, nor now, people from across the entire country are going to fall for this nonsense. Public Inquiry now.
