Taxi driver and staunch supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Exdoe, breaks down in tears, claiming his own party has denied him a job because he did not attend university, despite what he describes as his massive support and sacrifices to help the party win power. According to him, he received a call from a landline during which the caller asked whether he had completed university. He said that after he indicated he had no university education, the caller declined to proceed with his application.

Education was completely free. Healthcare was free. Students received housing assistance, a monthly stipend, and a guaranteed job upon graduation. Outstanding students, including Gaas, were even sent abroad for advanced studies all at the government’s expense. The country enjoyed a very low crime rate and affordable electricity, creating a stable environment for learning. Dr. Gaas graduated with a BA in Economics, summa cum laude, from Somali National University in 1984. He later moved to the United States, where he earned an MA in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1988 as an AFGRAD Fellow and served as a Bradley Fellow at George Mason University. He is telling us that the Somali education system and curriculum were so strong that he did not have to repeat any years or take remedial courses when he began his postgraduate studies in America. Today can your federal government or regional state provide anything close to this Somalis?

He says he no longer communicated with him say in the same way after he came back and wonders what really happened... Who visited him? I'd be curious to hear the names. "He came there and he was freaked out. He was visited. And when he told me who visited him. My heart stopped for a second. I'll never forget. He went, you believe me right?
