Final three plays from the Steelers yesterday. First one is double-slant/flat to the trips side. Rodgers expects MVS to continue inside but he whips back out. Second one is another miscommunication between Rodgers and MVS. Rodgers seems to be expecting MVS to hitch/post up but MVS runs a fade. Third one looks like a playground route where Rodgers said in the huddle, “Get open.” Really disappointing that they targeted MVS all three plays. With limited reps between him and Rodgers, the miscommunications are not a surprise. I get having Gainwell chip Garrett, but on at least one of these I would have liked to see them work the ball to Gainwell in space. These are quick throws. Cook could have handled Garrett without help. Also would have liked to work the MOF with Freiermuth. Feels like the Steelers should have had a concept they could run here rather than a bunch of isolation routes.

If there's one thing I disagree with, it's removing content, but I think this particular move ruins a good character. This move is a neutral skip. A lot of range, a lot of tracking to the right, some tracking to the left. you have to be more clean with your side step, +5 on block and ch launcher.
