It started during Covid. At least that when I noticed it. Simple things like salad dressing were in smaller bottles but cost more. Pam butter spray would spray too much oil & the bottle wouldn’t last a week. Aluminum foil got cheaper and wouldn’t unroll so that would get thrown in the trash and another one bought. Veggies are weighed for price & they’re always drenched in water adding weight & costs. This world is sick. Customer service is dead. The consumer is a number that they wish to milk dry.

A handful of short packages at one store is a real complaint worth checking. It is not proof that 87.5% of all Private Selection pepperoni packs are short, that Kroger is running an intentional nationwide fraud on this SKU, or that the company is extracting a reliable extra $2 million a year from pepperoni alone.
It's the bean counters in the back rooms advising CEOs how to save a dime without the public noticing.
@POTUS @Scavino47 Walmart is lying to citizens saying something weighs one weight when actually it doesn't. They removed all scales from their stores.
There are laws for weights and measures why no prosecutions?
Why is this sort of thing not all over the news? ITS ILLEGAL AND THERE IS A GOVERNMENT AGENCY THAT SUPPOSEDLY IS WATCHING FOR THIS TYPE OF SHIT.

@USDA this needs to stop. Where are the inspectors? Why is this being allowed to go on? Just check @WallStreetApes page. He has countless of these types of posts. Walmart seems to be the biggest to be doing this.
If these measurements are accurate, consumers absolutely deserve answers. When a package is labeled 12 ounces, people have every right to expect that they are receiving the amount they paid for.
There are worse things than short weight. I recall Food Lion in the early 90's getting accused of very sketchy meat repackaging in an undercover investigation by ABC's 20/20. I worked for a national grocery wholesaler back then, still believe that FL was probably guilty.

There is no excuse for having weighing equipment that isn't at least 98% accurate. It is programmed. Now do their bacon. I wonder. Decades ago they invented a machine that added an odd piece to a package to make it weight exactly 16 oz.
I even weigh potatoes, onions, apples and oranges that are bagged. I always get the heaviest one when it’s sold at a flat rate. Just do the palm test to single out a couple that feel heavier, then go check them, and buy the heaviest one. Same for rotisserie chickens.
Here's another problem. I looked up Avg # of customers at Kroger daily and overage of .03. You'll see from the number of items they carry, the percentage for QC is negligible if 25 items are incorrect each day. But the amt of $ customers lose is crazy.

What’s really helpful is writing down whether the blank space at the beginning changed my approach, rather than adding more chart markers.
When our food supply is bought up by "Financial investment groups" this is not a company cheaping out. It is the pillaging of any money we have left to buy food for our families. Better look into who owns the food supply.
