Mayor Mamdani said Thursday that he wants all of New York State to subsidize the illegals being harbored in NYC. He also wants to raise taxes on the rich and corporations in NYC. Gov. Hochul has already rejected raising taxes, but Mamdani keeps pushing and demeaning her stance. NYC has wasted billions in recent years on illegals. Instead of helping deport them, Mamdani pledges to do everything he can to obstruct ICE from removing them from the US. Meanwhile, these illegals receive an insane amount of free benefits from NYC taxpayers. If NYC received more state funds, it would effectively subsidize illegals, since money is fungible. Deporting them would save NYC billions over time, free up housing and resources, and make the city much safer. As I’ve said before, it’s simple to fix NYC. We already know how. What about the young girls who have stated they were followed and photographed? These men have not been reasonably checked. Yes, they could be safe. Yes, they may not have dangerous motives. But it’s that ‘maybe’ that has Essex on edge. Over the weekend, the Metropolitan Police banned Christians from holding a procession in Whitechapel to prevent potential violent disorder with the Islamic community. But Essex Police continually refuse to keep the wider public safe from hundreds of undocumented males. Something is seriously wrong in this country.

Candidates who also endorsed each other and have been supporting each other through smear campaigns and even arrests, proving an actual will to build and widen coalitions - a method of change we deeply believe in. As a group of Israeli immigrants focused on the Middle East, we would normally feel no need to comment on the NYC mayoral race, but this time, the candidates’ positions on Israel-Palestine are playing an undeniably large part. For this reason, we want to share, from our personal experience, what we know about Brad Lander‘s positions. Not from statements, but from actions. From the many times in the past 20 months that he has protested with us, calling, from the very beginning, for an immediate ceasefire and the release of all hostages. Upholding, from the very beginning, the humanity of both Palestinian and Israeli civilians. Many Sundays, Brad has stood with us and read testimonies from Gazans and from hostage family members. He listened with us to speeches by Palestinian and Israeli activists. He sang, cried and chanted with us - not only to end the war and release the hostages, but also for an end to the occupation of the West Bank and to the siege on Gaza and for a safe, equal, future for both peoples. He spoke at our October 7th vigil last year, and silently held up photos of children killed in Gaza with us last month. He is a part of our community, not as NYC comptroller, but as a human being.
