No, its ass. Its a really badly designed area and because of the fact any hit has to fly to narnia for like a whole second, its stunlock hell. Sotn is just not a great game.

i didn’t mind the overall area too much since it was short and nothing does that much damage or is super tanky imo i think it’s a good/great game i see why it’s considered a masterpiece and all that but it doesn’t do that much for me, i think i like metroid better genre wise

This game was so clunky not gonna lie but still the best Castlevania game ever until Belmont's Curse came.

Those are the two worst rooms in the whole game so understandable. Medusa shield makes you immune to petrification and neutron bombs or soul steal nuke the whole room.

I would either spam Soulsteal or Mist Form

I've been watching some blind playthroughs of this game and these two rooms consistently torture newbies. This is basically the game saying "welcome to the inverse castle, chump" lol

dark metamorphisis that entire area, the medusa heads toss some blood and each blood drop heals like 8 hp so its enough to keep you afloat you can also do soul steal too which makes you briefly invunerable

To be fair, these are some of the most difficult rooms in the game, just due to the sheer number of Medusa Heads in the rooms. Even I, who beat this game dozens of times, have trouble in these rooms.

These rooms were crazy haha. I just used mist to skip past them. Mirror Cuirass would have helped you greatly as well since it resists being turned to stone.
