Bomani Jones believes David Robinson was a better and more skilled player than Tim Duncan, but lacked the killer instinct that Tim had: “The thing with Robinson was he was absolutely not a killer.. that’s just not the kind of guy he was. this is straight facts. one of the biggest issues with overwatch is how they baby the playerbase. they dont think players can learn / enjoy complex heroes. every hero has to be easy to play for some reason. overwatch has far less complex heroes than easy heroes, but the worst part is that even the way they balance the game rewards easy heroes more than the hard heroes. casual players can have fun playing heroes like genji, tracer etc...

If people want to leave South Africa and are given the opportunity to do so, that is good. The point remains, however, that a solution must be found in South Africa. If the US does nothing with regard to South Africa other than taking in refugees, the consequences could be more negative than positive. That is why Lex Libertas presented a report this week to various role players in the US with practical steps that can be taken. Here is an excerpt from my conversation with Tim Pool. Call of Duty players always acted like COD was a competitive game when it was just digital airsoft with guns that all feel the same, especially in "hardcore mode." Meanwhile, Halo was treated as a "casual" game, even though any decent Halo player would easily shit on COD players while the reverse wasn't true at all. In terms of mechanical skill, Halo just objectively has more going on, more moment-to-moment decisions to make, and a way higher skill ceiling than COD — much more thought is given to movement tech, positioning, choice of weapon, mind games, etc. Halo's higher average TTK requires the use of more advanced tactics to outplay your opponent. But more than that, Halo also gives much more power to the individual player by allowing to achieve faster kill times by being more accurate — because the weapons are generally harder to use than in COD, this means that kill times vary a lot with player skill. So the better player will simply kill faster, all else being equal. But in COD, all the guns are so stupidly easy to use that there's almost no variance in kill times, boiling the game down to the "I saw you first" cliche, especially in the so-called "hardcore" mode, which actually just rewards having faster reflexes over any other aspect of player skill. Halo and Counter-Strike have more in common than COD has with either of them.

Players also can’t conceptualize the amount of time they have the ball in their hands in a game. They think it’s exponentially more than it actually is.
