The operation involves the National Shield Forces قوات درع الوطن, Southern القوات المسلحة الجنوبية Giants Brigades قوات العمالقة الجنوبية , National Resistance Forces المقاومة الوطنية, regular army units المركز الإعلامي للقوات المسلحة اليمنية and local resistance fighters. Government forces and local resistance fighters continued clearing positions recaptured along the al-Dhabab front west of Taiz city. Coalition aircraft and government artillery targeted Houthi positions, troop concentrations and military vehicles. The operations are aimed at consolidating recent territorial gains and preventing Houthi forces from reestablishing positions overlooking key approaches to the city. Coalition aircraft conducted multiple strikes against Houthi positions, vehicles and troop concentrations in al-Aqrud and Same’a districts, south of Taiz city.
