"I had done this movie Moneyball, and I had to lose a ton of weight to get cast... So I'd have to like balloon my way up and down over and over again for multiple years. For Zero Dark Thirty, I got pretty jacked... When I went on Ellen to promote something, my brother was like, 'Show that fucking picture, dude. No one knows that you got jacked.' So I did it. I put the picture on Ellen. So then, when I'm finally sitting down with Kevin Feige and all the executives at Marvel, 285 lbs... He slaps the picture from Ellen of me in my underwear. And he's like, 'Can you do this?' I was like, 'How long do I got?' He's like, 'Seven months.' They called me and they're like, 'Dude, you got it.' I was like, 'Fuck yeah, dude!' Heading into 2025, I was living an unhealthy lifestyle, one that would’ve caught up to me sooner or later. I was the heaviest I’d ever been, just shy of 300 lbs. At some point, excuses stop working. I took responsibility, decided enough was enough, and got to work. Month by month, choice by choice. This didn’t happen overnight, but it happened because I started. If you’re waiting for the perfect time, this is it. Let’s make 2026 the best year yet.
