After his dramatic comeback win at LIV Golf Adelaide, Anthony Kim says he has a new addiction… seeing his daughter run onto the final green to celebrate a win with him: “When she ran out on to that green, that was -- selfishly, that was one of the most special moments of my life. When I used to putt for five, six hours on the green at the club I belonged to that sent me a letter to get off the green and not practice as much, that was always in the back of my mind. I've seen other players' families run on to the green. I'm pretty sure I've seen you do that (indicating DJ). “But that was my goal. I'm a recovering addict, but now I think I'm addicted to making that happen again. There's nothing that's going to stop me from working to get to that point.” Anthony Kim returns to action this week at LIV Golf Hong Kong with his incredible win in Adelaide still fresh in the memory. Hong Kong Golf Club is the course where he shot a 5 under par 65 in his 2nd start after his comeback back in 2024 and it’s a place that really suits his game. Wildcard Richard T Lee gave it everything and missed this short one to extend the playoff. Bryson said after: “Absolutely hated it for Richard. He’s been playing some unbelievable golf. He’s beat me in a few rounds I’ve played with him and he’s a stellar player. I wanted to go another hole with him. The players obviously got the same memo because Anthony Kim made a joke about it ahead of LIV Golf Korea. When asked about whether majors are on his radar, AK said: “Yeah, I obviously want to play in the majors. I want to play in the biggest events. That's why I'm working. But I heard LIV is adding five more majors, so there will be nine majors to go after. (Smiling.)” On the serious side though, AK is currently 5th on the season long standings and the highest placed player who is not currently exempt after Andalucia will qualify for The Open.
