🤨 WATCH as Richard Madeley EXPOSES Andy Burnham’s real Brexit plans live on Good Morning Britain Andy Burnham completely gave the game away on Labour’s quiet scheme to drag Britain back into the EU while being grilled by Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid. Susanna hit him with the betrayal of his own voters. Sixty-five per cent of his constituents voted Leave and he had promised he would not reopen the entire Brexit argument. His answer was slippery: “I said we wouldn’t rerun the referendum and that’s not what I’m doing.” The wording is deliberate. He only ruled out rerunning the referendum. He left the door wide open on rejoining. Then Madeley confronted him head-on and Burnham could barely keep a straight face. Madeley: “You’re flying kites, aren’t you, Prime Minister? Watching and listening to what you were saying over the weekend, it was a classic case of somebody testing the water. You’re testing the public mood. You’re checking to see, and I’m sure you’re looking very closely at, the reaction that you’ve had from the public and from the media this morning and over the weekend.” Watch Burnham’s face as Madeley presses further. In that exact moment. The smile almost breaks through. He knows Madeley has nailed him: “You’re looking to see if actually this is on. If actually it’s on, to suggest maybe in the next manifesto that we should rejoin the EU?” Burnham ducked and weaved, going round the houses to avoid a straight answer. “I was asked a question Richard so I didn’t fly that kite. I was asked and I try to give honest answers.” Try? He tries to give honest answers? That is a very odd way to put it. Why not just say he gives honest answers? The grin told the whole story. He would be a terrible poker player. Labour’s plan is now obvious. Rejoining the EU goes into the next manifesto. No referendum. Over 17 million people cast their votes in an historic decision to leave. Whether you agreed or disagreed, that vote happened and it cannot be casually overturned without another referendum. Anything less is a disgrace.

I’ve received many DMs asking me to highlight Tanzania’s Miss Grand International, Jihad. I chose not to-not because I don’t support Tanzanian talent, but quite the opposite. In 2016, I built a platform and even created a TV show specifically to give Tanzanian beauty industry a voice and international visibility. But I have also watched what happened before and after October 29th. I watched many of Tanzania’s so-called idols remain silent while young lives were lost. Many never even used their platforms to say pole or show compassion to the families left behind. That silence matters. I have stopped communicating with many people in Tanzania, including some of the country’s so-called stars. Having a platform comes with responsibility…especially to those you say you represent…wearing masai outfit while you don’t mention challenges they face including being evicted from their homes isn’t representing total truth. Today, I choose to highlight Sumnima Puri, Miss Grand International Nepal, because she is using her voice and her platform to show the world the reality in her own country. Last year, at a Human Rights Gala in Washington, DC, I wore a white gown with a blood-stained ribbon to tell the world the truth about the lives lost in Tanzania on October 29th. Today, the world is talking about Nepal because Sumnima Puri chose truth over sugar-coating reality. That takes courage. I salute your bravery, Sumnima Puri. As we approach one year since so many lives were lost in Tanzania, we will remember those souls and the families who continue to carry their pain. We will never forget October 29th. We will continue to speak. We will continue to seek justice. Hilo linahitaji ujasiri. Ninakusalimu kwa ujasiri wako, Sumnima Puri. Tunapoelekea kutimiza mwaka mmoja tangu maisha mengi yapotee Tanzania, tutawakumbuka waliopoteza maisha na familia zinazoendelea kubeba maumivu hayo. Hatutaisahau Oktoba 29. Tutaendelea kusema. Tutaendelea kudai haki.
