The founder of LangChain says both models and harnesses have gotten really good between December and now. According to Harrison Chase, the core idea of an agent before Christmas was a model running in a loop and calling tools. This had been the north star for 3 years. - langchain had this when it launched - autogpt was the same idea - openclaw is kind of a future version of it Then about a year ago, they started getting really good. Claude Code, Manus, and Deep Research were all launched around the same time. All of them use the same pattern: running in a loop with harnesses (planning tools, file systems, code execution, etc) Harness engineering became a thing. Then Opus came out in November and really unlocked it. - the harness let the model do more and more - less hardcoded logic - way more control Then everyone went on vacation, played around, and realized that the model and the harness finally worked reliably.

If we put now the catalogue on all these walls about all the players that we wanted in the last three months, I think we need the whole building to put it on. So I think they know that there's so much speculation with a lot of players. "If ever they feel the doubt of what we think of them and if we're going to recruit a player, I tell them straight away. Normally I do it - so, 'we're going to sign somebody in their position', and normally tell them that these are the plans and these are the reasons why we have the plans. 'We still believe the same in you, but the competition is going to increase.' I prefer to do it that way."

Incredible last few minutes of the Rick Rubin / Adam Neumann interview. I got chills listening to this. --- Adam: We'll connected to this week's portion. We all have something that we're slaves to. We all have an addiction to anger, to ego, to power, whatever it is, idol worship that we have. We all have an Egypt. We all need to leave that Egypt, come out of it. When we come out of that Egypt, we all face a Red Sea. When we see that Red Sea, we all need to have the courage to walk into it so far that we drown. Only when we're willing to drown will the Red Sea be split and we'll go to our next level. We then go to our next level. We see the Red Sea split. Suddenly we're like, oh, everything is okay. And we forget. The moment we forget, we step into the desert. We all have to walk through our version of desert. That desert is between us, us, and God. No one else. The only decision we get to have is how long we're going to journey through that desert. Are we going to journey for 14 days like the children of Israel were supposed to? Or are we going to journey for 40 years because we're not learning our lesson? Our choice is not, are we going to get into the desert or not? It's how long will we be in. And once we go out of that desert, we all have our version of the promised land. And if we have the courage to look inside, see our own correction, our own limitation, look at it clearly now and say, I see you, and I'm going to get over it. I'm going to learn. I'm going to grow. Gabe on why he doesn't think Anthropic or OpenAI will own finance: "The reason people get confused when they look at app layer businesses like mine or Harvey or Legora or Sierra is because there's a spectrum of perpendicularity to what the labs are building. There's a whole bunch of stuff underneath the surface that the labs are never going to build, that we need to build for finance. All of finance is a collection of different niches with different data sets, different regulatory requirements. And we can get to $5 billion in revenue by going deep across those things and creating the systems of record that help manage them. That for Anthropic would be like stopping on the side of the road to pick up a penny, because they're on the pathway of trying to go from $100 billion in revenue to a trillion in revenue. Say you are a big public company buying another big public company and you need to send data back and forth. You actually need some sort of data room, something that is compliant, safe and secure. And I don't think OpenAI or Anthropic will ever want to build a data room business. If you actually want to be the exchange for all of high finance, you don't just need to own the intelligence, you need to own the transaction venue, the communication venue, the workflows, and all the data inputs that go into it. Think about the fundamental difference between Claude Code when it came out versus ChatGPT. The models were actually fairly similar, but the harness and the way that it was presented from Claude was far better. The way that you harness these models is so, so important."

We are not okay, and that’s okay to say. I wish I could tell you that we are standing here and that the rest of the world is standing with us. With you. Sadly I can’t say that. There is a loud and aggressive minority around the world who doesn’t get, that being murdered at a peace festival does not equal resistance. I do however, know that we are standing here on behalf of all those people in the world, with moral clarity. And there are a lot of them. And there are many who want to be here with you. And they are here with you at heart. On October 7th, your loved ones went to Nova. We call it a peace music festival because that’s what it was—a place to make new friends, to let loos explore and celebrate life. And this juxtaposition hurts the most —because on that day, the light your loved ones were, was met with the most unimaginable darkness. Our lives will never be the same. But today, as we remember them, we also make a promise: to honor their memory by living as they would have. As we stand here in grief, we have a message to the world: we will not be defeated. Israel was attacked on October 7th and every day since, for the crime of existing. For the audacity of just being here. But we are here, and we are here to stay. And despite the trauma we’ve faced, we are in Israel, standing strong together, committed to the memories of those we lost and to the return of our hostages. Universal Ostrich Farms Update: We are still trying to get a headcount on the number of birds here, it is proving to be quite difficult. The family is quite concerned, as are supporters. The CFIA will not provide a headcount and are not being transparent with the family or the public. The RCMP have stated that they have begun in an investigation and that the investigation is ongoing but they are relying on information from CFIA for their investigation. I don't know if there are missing birds here, but I think that the truth matters and we are going to do our best to get to the bottom of it. More to come.

Together with all of our allies and partners, we have achieved such a level of cooperation which ensures that democracy, international law, and freedom are respected. There have been attempts to ignore and disregard what we value. But now it is impossible. Now our power is growing. Anyone who might want to wage aggression against a democratic country sees what the response will be. And the more we all work together, the less likely anyone else in the world will follow Russia's insane path. But is this enough? Democracy needs more. I think we need the clear global leadership of democracy. This is the main thing that we provide with our cooperation.
