Integrating Opus 4.8 into Copilot and the CLI is a massive upgrade for daily workflows. While context windows have expanded, the real bottleneck has always been intelligent, multi-file codebase navigation without losing track of dependencies. Having Opus 4.8 handle complex problem-solving directly inside the terminal and IDE is going to significantly reduce the friction in full-stack engineering.

@AnthropicAI The part I care about is large-codebase navigation. Model upgrades are nice, but coding tools get useful when they can hold the repo shape in their head and make changes reviewers can actually trace. I’d still want tests + diffs before trusting any “better coding” claim.
