Following large-scale gatherings in various regions of Balochistan, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) announced a grand national gathering “Baloch Raaji Muchi” to be held in Gwadar on July 28. The announcement came after widespread mobilizations across the region. From Karachi to the farthest corners of Balochistan, as preparations for the mass gathering progressed and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee began its journey to Gwadar, the state initiated crackdowns of various kinds. Roads were blocked, gunfire was opened, enforced disappearances took place, and repression began at every level. Fear and anxiety loomed everywhere, and Balochistan was effectively sealed and shut down. Despite all these obstacles, after great struggle, when we finally reached Gwadar, the city was under a curfew-like situation. From Quetta, Karachi, Turbat, Panjgur, to Nushki — security forces had sealed every route to prevent thousands, even hundreds of thousands, of people from reaching the site of the Baloch national gathering. On July 28 the day of Baloch Raaji Muchi was to take place, every street and alley of Gwadar was filled with checkpoints set up by security forces. Mobile networks were completely shut down. Yet, despite this climate of fear, the people of Gwadar were present at the gathering site. That very day, around 1 PM, vehicles of the forces approached the gathering and, opened direct fire. One of our comrade was martyred before our eyes. #BalochNationalGathering

Today, Sunday, 8 March, International Women’s Day, listen to the voices of women in Gaza, bearing witness from a continuous hell: Since October 2023, Israel has killed more than 12,500 women in Gaza, including over 9,000 mothers, leaving 21,193 widows. Life in tents has morphed from a temporary solution into a permanent state – thin fabric walls that offer no protection or privacy. Without a room of their own, women sleep fully clothed and with their head coverings on, even in extreme heat. The simplest everyday tasks, such as washing, changing clothes, breastfeeding, or managing menstruation (now without hygiene products) have become degrading, near-impossible undertakings in exposed public spaces. The burden on Gaza’s women is beyond comprehension. As Ikhlas al-Kafarneh told us in her testimony: “I can’t even cry in front of my children, because then I’d fall apart. I so much want to be alone, even for one day, to be just with myself in a distant place where I can scream at the top of my lungs and cry over this terrible life that has been forced on me.” Even after the so-called ceasefire of October 2025, the genocide still goes on. The truth is that many men are naturally timid and fearful. Social media algorithms reward crazy, sensational, outrageous videos. So when you see these clips, and I’m sure both of you have seen them, of some girl doing squats at the gym while recording herself, with a caption underneath like, “Oh my God, some creep just looked at me,” guys watch that and think, “Oh, girls don’t even want to be looked at in public.” So they go into this mode of eyes forward, blinkers on, don’t look at anyone, don’t make any woman think you might be interested in her. But most women at the gym are probably either indifferent to being noticed, or, if they’re single, maybe even positively inclined to being approached in a normal, respectful way. The problem is that men see the video and think that is reality. They get this distorted view of what women are actually like in public. The other thing is that a lot of guys use Me Too, or these videos of women posting mean comments about men, as a justification for what pickup artists call approach anxiety. They’re already afraid of approaching women. Now they have a socially acceptable excuse. “Oh, I don’t want to be accused of harassment.” “I would totally go talk to her, bro, but I don’t want to get Me Too’d.” “I would approach that girl, but what if she records me and posts it online?” That becomes the story they tell themselves. But the truth is, they probably wouldn’t approach her anyway. They would be afraid regardless. So I think there’s a lot of excuse-making mixed in with genuine fear.

Jersey City, New Jersey—From around 5AM, Over 50 Protestors Picketed G&B Packing, A Key U.S. Logistics Hub Supplying the Israeli Military Early morning Friday, dozens of protestors convened at 1A Colony Road in Jersey City to picket G&B Packing, whose warehouse is operated by Interglobal Forwarding Services—a company that works closely with the Israeli Ministry of Defense and U.S. federal contractors to ship military cargo to Israel and supply its genocidal assault on Gaza. Over a thousand tons of military equipment was shipped every week from the warehouse through August 2025, as revealed in a Drop Site report based on research from the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) and Progressive International. G&B Packing has current federal contracts to facilitate shipping more military cargo to Israel. Those who gathered at the picket, including 90-year old U.S. veteran Jack Gilroy with Veterans for Peace, made their way to Jersey City in below freezing temperatures at the windy port in Jersey City. “What brings me here is the unbelievable atrocity in Gaza, what brings me here is that so many millions of Americans don’t seem to be paying attention to the fact that it’s the United States that is a terrorist nation, along with Israel, a terrorist nation. They have been hidden from the truth from the time they were children, and it’s about time to grow up and to join people like those here at the largest warehouse for munitions that will eventually destroy and kill many people in Gaza as they have in the past two years,” Gilroy told Drop Site. In the first clip, a woman says, “We want peace, and condemn terrorism in all of its forms, and want to live like everyone else in the world, in dignity and to be protected from war, death, and annihilation.” In the second clip, people chant, “for god’s sake, Hamas, get out!” and “We want to live.” In the third clip, a mother is asking, “Do you really think we are working to raise our children so that they die? First they posted an image of a parachuter with a Palestinian flag saying "I stand with Palestine". (Note that the peopel slaughtered in Israel at the music festival were killed by people on motorized paragliders.) Second they published multiple cartoons depicting questions and answers such as: "I can't believe Hamas has taken Israeli settlers hostage!" The other character then responds: "You said nothing about Israel holding 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza hostage for the past 16 years." and "But that doesn't make taking Israeli hostages ok!" The other character responses: "The few Israeli 'hostages' are in fact Israeli soldiers and Israeli army generals who are responsible for keeping Palestinian hostage in the world's largest open air prison, Gaza. The West has watched mutely as Israeli leaders have declared Palestinians in North Gaza will never be allowed back. They are being ethnically cleansed, as they were in 1948 during the Nakba. Day by day, Israel shrinks the space for Palestinians in what was, even before Israel’s genocide, one of the most overcrowded, besieged, attacked, and surveilled places on the planet. Israel is making a hell on earth for the Palestinians ever more hellish. And yet the West’s leaders have barely bothered to call for restraint. Even after 13 months of genocide, we are told this is a ‘necessary war against Hamas’. Even Israel’s aid blockade and starvation of Gaza’s population—an indisputable crime against humanity—is framed as an ‘awful humanitarian crisis’. Industrial-scale murder in Gaza, carried out with the supply of British weapons and intelligence, has become so routine that even the BBC barely bothers to report it anymore. Our protests are smeared as antisemitism. Like Israel, the West has stood on its head the very international legal order it developed after the Second World War to prevent a repeat of the Holocaust. As Israeli scholar Jeff Halper warned many years ago, sooner or later—likely sooner—Palestine’s fate will head our way. David Lammy, Britain’s Foreign Secretary, says not enough people in Gaza have died yet for us to call it a genocide, as though accountants and mathematicians are the ones to decide when crimes against humanity are being committed. In any case, Lammy knows that Gaza has been so utterly devastated that it now has no capacity to count its dead. He knows that, according to experts, Gaza’s death toll is more likely in the hundreds of thousands than the tens of thousands.
