Would have been so good for machinima but this wasnt cut content, its a developer tool used for trailer footage. This is as stupid of a take as saying the halo reach spawnpoints, which are still in Destiny 1, were "cut content". Dumbass kids.

My guess is that this was their original solution to the Machinima folks that once they patched out the clear UI bug would still be able to produce their shorts but since they were able to add it as a feature this never got implemented
