Antisemitism is an ancient viral hate - that mutates & creates ‘modern’ strains by latching onto the guiding social construct of each time. Watch our CEO מיכל קוטלר-וונש | Michal Cotler-Wunsh at @thinchague's “Challenges to International Law in the Grey Zone" conference last month.

"A 'Muslim Brotherhood' conference in Canada...This is not just a problem for Jews!" - מיכל קוטלר-וונש | Michal Cotler-Wunsh at Canada Strong and Free Network This weekend, the Muslim Association of Canada will host its annual convention, which yet again is set to feature individuals with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, and with histories of promoting antisemitism, homophobia, and extremism. This should concern ALL Canadians and is a test of whether Canada is willing to confront rising extremism and the antisemitism that signals it, across spaces and places.

Antisemitism isn’t just a threat to Canadian Jews. It’s a threat to our Canadian democracy. At the Canary Song conference in Toronto, Professor Irwin Cotler - former Justice Minister and International Chair of the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights - delivered a stark warning: antisemitism is a “ticking time bomb” facing Canada. As the federal government develops its new national security strategy, Cotler argues that antisemitism must be recognized for what it is: a threat to the security of all Canadians. This is probably the most powerful and incredible video I’ve seen in a very long time, by a Moroccan Arab Muslim, Mustapha Ezzarghani, founder of the Israeli-Moroccan Friendship Organization. Mustapha talks about the disillusionment with the pan-Arab national perception, which Arab leaders have promoted since the last century - claiming that Israel is the central problem standing between the 22 Arab countries and glory, and that only its destruction would bring a solution and prosperity - a notion that has turned the Arab countries into backward societies, to the detriment of their citizens. He speaks in fluent, easy-to-understand English. It’s the most worthwhile 7 minutes you’ll spend on a powerful and rare truth. 💬 Day 2 of 7: Antisemitism did not die in Auschwitz, it just mutated… Our generation was the exception, not the rule. The tsunami of unhinged hate that has been mainstreamed & unleashed across places & spaces - is the rule, not the exception of Jewish history. Antisemitism is the new normal, again. Our generation - that lived the anomaly of Jewish history - has the ability & responsibility to support younger generations, empowering them to identify & combat all strains of what is an ancient ever-mutating lethal hate, using IHRA definition. That is the existential moment we’re in. It requires action & courage from each & every one of us, that - together - can & must make a difference. #LetOurPeopleGo #NeverAgainIsNow #DefineItToFightIt

🇵🇸🇨🇦“ The two-state solution remains the guiding principle of our Middle East policy, and our actions are calibrated to support this outcome… Israel's settlements in the West Bank are illegal under international law and an obstacle to peace. That is why Canada announced earlier this month that we intend to restrict trade in goods with illegal Israeli settlements.”

#WATCH | Delhi: Senior Advocate Harish Salve says, "... Our nation is at an inflection point. The changes in our polity, the fast-changing demography, the growing demand upon limited resources caused by rising aspirations, and the overdose of information on social media are all huge pressure points in our society. At a time like this, we have to be careful that the rule of law is in no way diminished in the way we work, in the way we live, in the way our country is running." [WATCH] We can’t have people in our country who are undocumented. The issue of illegal immigration is an issue for many countries around the world it’s not unique to South Africa. The crisis in neighbouring countries has affected our borders hence we experience an influx of undocumented immigrants. To this end, we have heard the legitimate cries of our people against the various social and economic challenges associated with illegal immigration. However, we have always emphasised that vigilantism is a dangerous terrain, which creates anarchy and undermines the rule of law. Enforcement of the law is the responsibility of the democratic State. It cannot be outsourced to private groupings who want to take the law into their own hands, often driven by the desire of some individuals to hijack the genuine concerns of our people for political expediency. The anxieties of South Africans are real and legitimate

Today on CBC Metro Morning, former Ontario Premier Bob Rae, in discussing the recent Toronto Metropolitan University antisemitism report by The Honourable Mary Lou Benotto, attempted to draw an equivalence between the torrent of antisemitism plaguing our post-secondary campuses and alleged "hate" that is directed at Palestinian students. This reflexive pairing must stop. When a report documents antisemitism, address antisemitism directly, without immediately invoking Palestinian students as a counterweight.

“The negative reaction to Lammy’s proposals has reassuringly come from all sides of the political landscape”. Criminal barrister, Adam King, noted that David Lammy’s plan to slash our right to trial by jury has reassuringly managed to unite both the left and right in opposition — including Rupert Lowe and Baroness Chakrabarti. Defending our ancient right to trial by jury — a cornerstone of our criminal justice system — is an issue that transcends party politics. Watch Adam King speak at the Free Speech Union’s ‘In defence of trial by jury’ event last week ⬇️

Only weeks after German officials at the Munich Conference spoke of the importance of international law, the German Chancellor completely sets it aside to throw Germany's full support behind Trump and Israel's illegal war on Iran. “Legal assessments under international law will achieve relatively little in this regard… That is why now is not the moment to lecture our partners and allies; despite all doubts, we share many of their goals, without ourselves being able to actually achieve them.” The last sentence is critical. Germany is positioning itself as a cobelligerent in this war. And Iran will likely treat it as such.

We will take revenge for every innocent soul martyred in Azad Jammu Kashmir by Pakistan - not just since the 5th of June, but also in 2024 & 2025. This is our right enshrined in religious and international law. If Pakistan prefers the law of the jungle and massacres our people at will - they will have to pay for that, and an equation of real deterrence will be established.

At the Second International Conference on Combating Antisemitism in Jerusalem, initiated by Minister עמיחי שיקלי - Amichai Chikli, I made one thing clear: antisemitism is not just a Jewish problem. It is a threat to free societies, to democracy, and to our shared civilization. History teaches us that hatred must be confronted early. When antisemitism is tolerated, it spreads. Lies become violence. Israel’s fight today is not only for our own security, but for the values and freedoms of the free world. To Jews everywhere, especially the younger generation: do not bow your head. Stand tall. Speak the truth. When we fight antisemitism with courage and clarity, we defend not only the Jewish people - we defend humanity itself.

🚨THE ISLAMIC REGIME IN IRAN DOES NOT ONLY THREATEN 🇮🇱🚨 Let it be clear: The raging multi-front war intent to annihilate the State of Israel, indiscriminately targeting its civilians & Jews/Zionists across the globe - are not separate events. They are fuelled by the very same ancient ever-mutating hate, that develops ‘modern’ lethal strains. That in response to heinous war crimes & crimes against humanity on & since October 7 massacre - deny, excuse, justify & even support their barbaric perpetrators Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis…tentacles of the genocidal Islamic regime in Iran. The uncomfortable truth many refuse to face is that the normalization of antisemitism - predicts the normalization of genocidal terror & tyranny - that threaten our shared humanity & freedom. Words from “Never Again is Now” UN hearing weeks after October 7, that ring especially true today. #LetOurPeopleGo #NeverAgainIsNow
