Here's a unique way to teach a pitcher how to ride the slope. I call it the "Sliding Hinge Drill" An initial teaching tool for guys who: ✅ Extend off the back leg ✅ Lose foot stability ✅ Lose torso positioning Hard throwers "move forward while staying back." They initiate this by creating ground force through a stable back foot. The head stays back, trunk stays stacked and pelvis stays relatively level. Once they "feel it" this can be generalized to dynamic drills. I want to reiterate that this is an early teaching tool for guys who have no idea how to hinge. Pitchers with good back sides don't need to put the training wheels back on.
