This opinion is flawed. Nobody shows up to a job interview looking bad. When you're selling something valuable, you want it to look attractive. With games costing 100s of millions to make with lots of people depending on them for jobs, you have a responsibility.

I don't really have a problem with the new God of war. As I do agree, not every character has to be a supermodel. There are times when it fits for them not to be. But with that being said, there is one pet peeve in this video I just have to address. It genuinely pisses me off. When people try to refer to wanting attractive characters in video games as just being porn addicted and wanting to fuck them. That has nothing to do with it. If I'm playing a game that is supposed to have beautiful scenery, and I play it and I want beautiful scenery, that doesn't mean I want to fuck the mountains. It means I'm playing a video game and I want something visually appealing to look at. Now, again, there are exceptions, obviously, if you're playing a horror game or something More gritty than maybe. Things aren't supposed to be so pretty. That's fine. But my point is when it fits and where it can be then Characters should be attractive male and female. You are selling a product that is a visual medium and it is literally marketing 101 to make things appealing visually. An example of this failure would be the main character of the upcoming Fable game, who looks horrendous and has no business looking that bad.

These gooners need to understand that games CAN have attractive women protagonists but they don’t always need to be. Just like how not all Male protagonists in games are attractive
