Any Roy Orbison fans on X?

Legend has it that Tom Petty, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, and Jeff Lynne were together when they found out Roy Orbison was joining the Travelling Wilburys. They were beside themselves with excitement. That's some serious respect.

Very underrated. An exceptional voice with amazing range.

Roy Orbison, aka Lefty Wilbury, is one of America's greatest musicians of all time 🎼 🇺🇸 ❣️

Best voice. Perfect pathos. Terrific range. Jay Black was close but sang with less hurt

🙋‍♂️

Absolutely love Roy Orbson. I think you would have a hard time someone who didn't #OnlyThe Lonely

got a lot of them mean woman blues

I remember when when Pretty Woman hit the radio! I was an instant Roy Orbison fan!

Here! ✌️

"In dreams, I walk with you..." ❤️❤️❤️

He had a great and unique voice.

Not known well Roy Orbison had a 5 octave singing voice he was a great singer

OK, so what is that guitar. Looks lik a gibson headstock. maybe neck p90'? hollowbody 4 switches uppper bout? what the heck is that thing. some guitar snob... tell us.

So much admiration for Roy Orbison. Thanks for this trip back to my happy place. ❤️

First song I learned on my guitar.

Only began to take notice of him when I learned of the tragedies in his life. Must have been made of tough stuff to keep going through what he went through

Love him 💃

He was popular on the AM radio when I was like 6 to 10 years old initially . And even then he had some of the most compelling hits, which later became classics forever .

Best part of early rock n roll. He’s one of what I call the Baker’s dozen(or Founding Fathers). Including Elvis, Chuck Berry, Fats, Little Richards, Buddy Holly, Dion, Ricky Nelson, Eddie Cochran, James Brown, Carl Perkins, Sam Cooke, Gene Vincent & Duane Eddy( notice all 🇺🇸)

Maybe the most underrated as a singer or as a song writer.🎶🎸🎶🇺🇸

@sueatcraven Vintage Rock And Roll. I can remember in the 50 s when I went into a cafe which had a record player with only the lonely playing❤️❤️❤️

Only the Lonely

Of course Elvis Presley said Roy Orbison had the greatest voice he ever heard five octaves

The Beatles toured with Roy in the UK when they first started and Roy finished his career while playing with George Harrison in the Traveling Wilburys 🩷 Ironic or what 💖

Love ‘Crying!’

Best voice in music

“Oh, Pretty Woman!” - a perfectly wonderful rock song - made me an instant Roy Orbison fan. That big hit record is one every man on earth can relate to. It’s actually a tribute to every woman because almost all women have something pretty: either outer or inner beauty! Oh, Woman!

#RoyOrbison is what you call "Accidentally So Cool" ... And what a song #PrettyWoman is!

Oh yes !! Love The Travelling Wilbury’s too !👌

Of course
