I met Chuck Negron in the 90’s when my band opened up for him. He overcame a lifetime heroin addiction but always maintained his voice. He could sing in perfect pitch and was very gracious.

Knew their music from my childhood. Bought this greatest hits album probably close to 30 years ago.

If you grew up in the 60’s and 70’s it was hard not to have been a fan back then. They had so many hits that played on the radio all the time.

Oh yeah. First concert, May 1972, Harrisburg Pa. 14 year old. Loved it. ❤️👍 Rest in Peace.. Chuck Negron and Cory Wells (2015)🙏

Huge fan since I was a kid!!! I saw them in 2019, here’s a clip of Joy To The World, still sounded phenomenal 🎤

They played a gig at a hotel I worked at in the late 70's. I helped set up their stage and seating in our big ballroom. Later that night after their concert was over, I was getting ready to go home and was asked if I could take one more room service order up to the big suite. Sure. It was basically a bunch of booze, mixers, and snacks. I took it up there and there was probably 25 people there partying with the band included. One of the band members opened the door and said "Oh hey, you helped us set up earlier, right?" Yeah. "When are you off work?" Just leaving actually. They invited me in and it was a fun fun night, let me tell you. I was just 18. I ... saw things.

Well I never been to Spain but I kinda like the music

My absolute favorite Three Dog Night song!Childhood memories of driving around in mom’s brand new 75 pinto, or dad’s 64.5 mustang (the .5 was important to him!) when I’m still too little to see over the door so I could only see sky… Wish I could go back…

One is the loneliest number! @threedognight

👍

Just an Old Fashioned Love Song. Always a favorite of mine, with lovely harmonies. And we lose another musical master.😢

" Want some whiskey in your water? Sugar in your tea? "

My first concert at age 14. Atlanta Fulton County Stadium featuring Three Dog Night and Rod Stewart and Faces as warm-up band.

Thank you for sharing this… made me feel young again 😬

👊🏻

Oh yeah! 🙌

Yes, Chuck was my First & Last love

One.

Oh Yeah, Still Listen to their Music! Wish the BS rock Hall of fame would put them in it.

Sad news on Chuck Negron's passing. My favorite 3DN song with him on lead vocals is "Joy to the World." It is the #1 biggest single of 1971. May he rest in peace.

Chuck Negron, RIP

I love their music, and they were all equally talented. But I enjoyed listening to Cory Wells the most. He had such a soulful, passionate voice.

Try A Little Tenderness My personal favorite.

✋️Their song. I've got pieces of April was my wedding song. Also, saw them in concert twice.

Perfect three part harmony

Rare group insofar as there was no single lead vocalist

So many fantastic songs. I can’t pick a favorite. Rest in Peace, Chuck.

YES! Saw them in concert 1990. Always a fan & their Greatest Hits CD still gets alot of play. Classic music👏 Eli's Coming is my fav.

Summertime swimming singing along as a kid days❤️

One of my all-time favorite bands and my favorite song of theirs...chills when he digs deep for the vocal on 'Well I never been to heaven...'

Absolutely, Liar, Eli's Coming, Never been To Spain, Old Fashioned Love song, Celebrate, Shambala, Black & White, Family of Man, Joy to the World, Out in the Country, Pieces of April...Too bad Chuck Negron will never see this great band be in the R&R HOF.

One of the most underrated bands of all time. They are awesome.

Joy to the World was our anthem in my fifth grade class.

My favorite Three Dog Night song is Liar

Mamma told me not to come
