Duke up 3 with under 10 seconds. Game over — except it wasn’t. Three execution breakdowns sealed it: they couldn’t hold on to the ball under pressure, the full court pass was deflected, and they didn’t get a hand up in the GAME WINNER. Duke was in a great spot to win, they just didn’t execute. That’s not bad luck. That’s a late-game IQ breakdown on the biggest stage.

This is the Basketball Rondo passing drill. We have this in the activities library. (Download more games like this here➡️ This is a great game for passing under pressure. Four players are in a small space, like you see in the video, with three defenders. The defense has to get a steal in order to go on offense. The offense has to make 10 passes in a row to win the game. Coaches can change the space the players operate in, adjust the number of players in the game, and even combine their principles of play into it. For example, you could apply “zero-second decisions,” where players must pass immediately upon catching it, or it’s a turnover.
