I got a scare jump yesterday because I forgot about this scene 😭

I think this scene gave me my spectrophobia. I can't be in a dark room with a mirror. I remember waking up and seeing my mirror at the foot of my bed. It was so dark my face was changing shapes. Then this scene came to mind and I cowered under the covers.

Every time. The first time in the theatre--OMG. Infinity viewings later, I still put up a hand or pillow to partially block the screen. It slightly mitigates the jump. Watched this 5x through fingers, & honestly feels like I’ve done sit-ups. Typing is stressing me out hahaha

*Me watching it for the 5,000,000,009th time* I sometimes rewatch the trilogy when my husband has night shift and I skip this part and the creepy Galadriel voice in the head part.

yeah, there are quite a number of legitimately creepy moments in the trilogy. This scene, the marsh of the dead and Shelob

I probably around that age walked into my brother's room cause they were watching the VHS version of the movie and had fallen asleep and I walked in on Galadriel looking like a horror beyond belief and it sticks with me to this day. The actual scene isn't as scary
