Anyone here old enough to remember the PC game Lemmings on DOS from 1991?

Yeah Lemmings 😄 That game taught me stress before real life did

hell yeah!

I wish I had a PC in 1991, but I did enjoy Lemmings on the Amiga 500.

lets go!!

I am once again asking you to release a remastered Lemmings game

do you want me to do this? i just might.

Couldn’t possibly forget

What about Commander Keen This was a good game too.

holy piss

I remember that. What about Leisure Suit Larry?

This triggered a memory of the old user-manual based copy protection old games used to use. You'd just get a random prompt to "Enter the fourth word on page 76 of the user manual." 😆

wow

RUN IT

This song is so cool and somehow reminds me of Pachelbel's Canon

found a list of old lemmings level access codes on some of my dusty cloud drives...

Would play it at my friends house after school sometimes

Yup. Plus, I grew up in the city where they were born. We even have lemming statues here in Dundee, Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👊

Learning DOS in 1994….what a stupid waste of time that was lol

no waste all best times

And now on my iPad, with IDos..

Oh I remember that…

I ran it on my Amiga 500+ good times, great game!

For some reason, this touches me deeply. I get a funny, nostalgic feeling in my stomach, almost like some kind of super-nostalgia.

Lemmings on every platform was so good. Played the DOS version, Commodore Amiga and Commodore 64 versions, 100% fun (and a little bit of frustration too).

Lemmings was brutal for QA. One mistake in level design cascaded into unwinnable states. Had to validate that 'undo' worked consistently, timing windows were frame-perfect, and explosion logic didn't break pathways. Sublime balance.

One of the best games at the time, Lemmings was just classic.

Used to play at the school library all the time

what have you done

Absolutely! I played it on the Amiga at about the same time.

In 1986 we played Dungeons and Dragons by typing commands in dos LOL I loved that game and played on break when I was an x ray tech.

Lemmings was such a great game. And guess what it doesn't have? Ads or in-game purchases! I have fond memories playing it on my 486 back in the day.

Nope. Played it in 1991 on Amiga before the PC guys :-)

😅🙋‍♂️

Digger

Me played all the series

In the early '90s, we played Nigel Mansell's F1 GP, Populous, Barbarian, and the Geoff Crammond masterpieces : Stunt Car Racer and Microprose F1 GP simulation, not this crap

I’ll bet @theJoshMeister remembers :)

Flight of Intruders, Gunship 2000

@this_is_scs wait what was this
