That’s an exhaust vent cover.. while not great to see it’s not a grill. You can see the other cart has one still on.

I know its gross and definitely not the best way to do this. But they will heat those grill covers over 200F which sterilizes it. But its definitely not a good look and might still pull a health code violation.

Those are vents for the hood exhaust. I wouldn’t do it, but it doesn’t contact the food. You would be surprised at how many places don’t clean those.

I don't eat out, at restaurants, at food carts, Mr. Softee, Mr. Breezy and Dunkin or Starbucks. Too expensive and I can't control the ingredients. In this case, you have to make sure they don't us sewage to serve you food. Just make a homecooked meal.
