Anyone remember this show? 🐻

@AllieJade1 Whenever anyone did outdoor shit as a kid our line was, “who do you think you are, Grizzly Adams?”

Grizzly Adams. The bear was named Gentle Ben. I watched it here in Australia as a kid. Had an old bloke as a friend, forget his name, he had a mule called Number 7..I think? Had an American Indian mate called Tacoma or something like that. Loved it!

@KathleenWinche3

Dan Haggerty had the greatest beard of all time! The real Grizzly Adams. Lived near Pine Crest in the Sierra above Sonora. He took his 3 big bears on a 150 mile walk to S.F. He made shoes for their paws. Took the ferry to S.F. and walked down Market St with a 1,500 Lb. Grizzly.

Do some people just have a way with animals? A special way that is only afforded to a few?

@GPAIndiana When television shows were free and at its best. Now, everything is a subscription for this a subscription for that and the scripts are poorly written and shows no longer have valuable life lessons. Sad really.

they should replay this on prime time.

Grizzly Adams was a great family show

deep inside the forest is a door into another land, here, is our life and home,we are staying here forever in the beauty of this place all alone, we keep on hoping...

I had the bad ass lunchbox, one of the old school rounded top ones, which looked like a cabin with the critters outside. I destroyed it. Probably worth a fortune today 😂

Some will just now get this joke from 30 years ago 🤣😂🤣

We never missed it. It needs to be put back on streaming. I'd binge it for sure.

Many of us were first introduced to "Uncle Jesse" on this show. Mad Jack and his donkey, Number 7.

I loved Grizzly Adams, especially the old guy & Number Seven. Funny I can remember the mule's name but not the old prospector.

It's on MeTV every Sunday morning 6ish.

Yes, I do. That was Grizzly Adams.

We should be eternally grateful that Grizzly Adams wasn't a Disney property. Otherwise, they would have brought it back with Adams being a transgender, left-handed, albino Eskimo and all the animals CGI.

Maybe . . . There's a world where we don't have to run . . Maybe . . . There's a time to call our own, living free in harmony and majesty. Take me home, take me home. Take me home, take me home.

I started one episode, it had weasels bring food to a sick rabbit. Didn't make it until the end of the program.

Grizzly Adams. Great Sunday morning TV

Yes, James Capen Adams was a legend in our youth. But he was no Guy On A Buffalo. Which isn't a bad thing.

DAN HAGERTY GRIZZLY ADAMS AND BEN

@realAnn_29 Grizzly Adams . Loved that show
Aaand... I live in an isolated cabin in the hills with animals. And one wife, because *just* animals would be a little weird.

Great show!

When I was 14, all I wanted to do when I became an adult was to go off and live like Grizzly Adams. That would have been a much better choice, but my grandma talked me out of it. I love my grandma, but when I get to the other side, I have some things to say to her.

I loved this show when I was little.

grizzly Adams i loved that show

Look at that beautiful landscape!

@buermannberlin Yes, it was even a hit behind the Iron Curtain in East Germany in the late '70s and early '80s. 🫠 (If you could get West German TV)

I remember the show, think the title is "Grizzly Adams", always thought about how awful he must've smelt not bathing or washing his clothes for months at a time. Both the guy and the bear, of course.

I got his autograph when I was 18 or 19

Guy tried it up in Alaska - got ate. His girlfriend too. All it takes is for one to decide you look tastey.

Theme song always made my mom cry.

Grizzly Adams, Dan Haggerty, RIP
