Qatar's major coup was offering to host the US air base in Qatar after the Saudis kicked the US out after several terror attacks on US bases and personnel during the 90s. No other Arab country would risk it. It's called the Al Udeid Air Base, which is the largest U.S. military facility in the Middle East and the command hub for CENTCOM. But Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE all ban Al Jazeera and the Moslem Brotherhood for self protection. Yet the US does not ban either. In fact, Biden put Qatar on the Visa Waiver program last October and also classified Qatar as a "major non-NATO ally" in 2022.
