It was just a collection of gags which I enjoyed tbh

I feel like I can accept that better if it’s like a few times a season, but it definitely feels like it’s been every other episode recently…feel like this one could have easily been about sb and pat as the towel boys stopping plankton from cheating. Still could have done a bunch of gags and it would have had some sort of through line

I did think that SpongeBob and Patrick as towel boys would be the focus as well tbh

i hate how pretty much all modern spongebob episodes just consist of single episode classic spongebob characters like nosferatu and chocolate lady and they make like the whole episode about them. i dont know why they cant just come up with new characters that have the same charm

Remember when Spongebob was hated for stuff such as forcing characters to suicide attempts (One Corse Meal), characters being dicks to eachother (Yours Mine and Mine, A Pal for Gary, Stuck in the Wringer), or just being completely boring (Spongebob You're Fired)? Good times.

This was lowkey my favorite episode in years. I don't watch them all I just happened to have Nickelodeon on. I especially liked the ending where Mr. Lawrence tries to eat Plankton. A lot of the drawings looked like the first movie, weirdly.
