AOC broken in Hunter Biden hearing. So broken in fact, she claims RICO isn’t a crime. Well… empty the jails! Oh and for the record, all the defendants in the Georgia case brought by Fani Willis falls under RICO. Ooops.

RICO is an act. To be charged under RICO, you need to be able to identify, among other things, two or more actual crimes listed in the RICO act. You guys had like 35 options under the act and you couldn't name one. Terminal Dunning–Kruger effect on display here.

@AOC read a book on RICO . You are embarrassing yourself !

This was an excellent smackdown by AOC. He can't even name a single crime committed. What is he doing here wasting everyone's time? You don't get people on criminal charges by saying they did "some category of crime." Laws don't work that way. Lawyers are laughing at this guy.

Oops. “Falling under RICO” is not the crime. AOC was correct. RICO is a broad statute. Not a crime. As you yourself described, “Fall under RICO.”

Some folks have failed at Google. Passed in 1970, “RICO” the federal law is the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act. 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961-68 Thank you. AOC was correct saying “RICO” is not a crime, it is a statute.

RICO isn’t a specific crime, I see all you fagazzis parrot the talking points Which crime, when, you creepy people are afraid

Hey there, Wes....Here is a list of some of those crimes which fall into the CATEGORY of RICO. Ya gotta choose one and then impeach this President of the United States of America for one of them...capiche? Gambling Murder Kidnapping Extortion Arson Robbery Bribery Dealing in obscene matter Dealing or trafficking a controlled substance or chemical Bribery Counterfeiting Theft Embezzlement Fraud Obstruction of justice Slavery Money laundering Commission of murder-for-hire Embezzlement of union funds Bankruptcy fraud or securities fraud Criminal copyright infringement Human smuggling Acts of terrorism WHAT ARE THE PENALTIES IF CONVICTED? Generally, those convicted of Federal Racketeering/RICO crimes are sentenced to a maximum 20 years and $25,000 fines per count. So for a Federal RICO case at least two offenses in a ten-year period must be charged and in many cases, far more specific charges are brought. Remember too that anyone facing Federal RICO charges will be facing other charges as well so that a loss of the case generally means spending the rest of one’s days in prison. That is why time is so important to fighting a RICO charge. The sooner you get started preparing your defense, the better your odds of beating the charges. In addition, losing your RICO case can cost much more on the backside. Plaintiffs can use the outcome of the criminal trial to form the basis of a civil lawsuit. If such a case is lost, the cost is triple any damages claimed. For instance, if the case involved embezzlement of say, $100,000 then losing a civil RICO lawsuit will cost $300,000. Frequently Asked Questions What is a RICO? The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act or RICO was passed in 1970 as a means by which the Federal government could combat organized crime. The act today is covered in 18 USC §§ 1961–1968 and provides the legal means by which prosecutors can identify and convict those who operate illegal businesses. Thus, “A RICO” is used when speaking of someone facing serious criminal charges related to organized crime and racketeering.
