She’s not wrong, but we sure need more accountability how Some in congress making $174k a year for 2 years, 6 years, 10 years or 20 years, becomes millionaires very quickly as representatives or senators. How many $50 gifts are they given by 100’s of lobbyists weekly?

Almost all the members of this panel are accepting, including yourself, are accepting millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry.” Bernie has received over a million dollars from the healthcare industry. Yes, it’s from the employees of the companies, but that doesn’t negate the conflict of interest here. Employees of Pfizer have an interest in the profits of the company. So does Bernie. Vote them out.

He has written more than 800 opinions, laying out a jurisprudence that has brought the Supreme Court back to the Constitution. Justice Thomas has lived a most extraordinary American life, from being born into abject poverty in the Deep South under state-enforced segregation to becoming our nation’s greatest Justice. Please watch this beautiful segment from the terrific documentary, Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words. Justice Thomas recounts his grandfather enrolling him in the segregated all-black catholic school in Savannah and the role the Irish nuns who ran the school played in his life. His grandfather told him: “'You are going to go to school every day. If you are sick, you’re still going. If you die, I will take your body for three days to make sure you are not faking.' And he meant it. It’s one thing if somebody says it and you think they’re exaggerating. He wasn’t that kind of guy.” God bless Justice Thomas.

Surreal, that on the day the first female Chancellor is about to deliver a speech, the entire focus was on gifts and donations which are within the rules I don't remember our media doing the same when the Conservatives were accepting gifts and donations, not at this scale Yes, it was a car crash interview trying to justify the gifts and donations But the double standards from our media in not doing the same to Conservatives MPs and Prime Ministers is a tragedy for our democracy Do we expect better standards from Labour?
