MS NOW asked a number of my Republican colleagues a very simple question: Has President Trump done anything this term that you disagree with? Apparently, their answer is NO. Not the corruption. Not the lawlessness. Not the attacks on our institutions. Not the wasteful government spending. Not one single thing. I have never agreed with every decision made by a Democratic President. Nor should I. That is normal. That is democracy. What is not normal is an entire party refusing to admit that its leader has ever been wrong. Congress is supposed to hold Presidents accountable. My Republican colleagues seem more interested in proving their loyalty to Donald Trump.

MS NOW is already suggesting the Republican Party has something to do with the Michigan Synagogue shooter: "The Republican party is having, right now, a real fight on its hands, has a real fight on its hands amid wings of the Republican Party that are extremely antisemitic or flirting with antisemitism. And Republicans on the other side of the party who are saying, hold on, what are you doing? This is not this is ripping us apart. Louisiana is a supermajority Republican. This is not easy to write off, as some woke institution that they don't believe in. They are telling us what the American people are telling us, that this is not the right thing to do.

Republicans have fought for partisan gerrymanders across the United States of America. And these are the rules that they have set. And so if the Republican Party wanted to start this, they did this in North Carolina. They drew out three Democratic members of Congress in North Carolina. They did it in Texas. What they’re just mad at is that they have been accustomed to a Democratic Party that rolls over, doesn’t fight, and takes everything sitting down. And what they’re mad at right now is that we are here in a new day. And we have been asking the Democratic Party to stand up and fight, and now they did—and now the Republican Party doesn’t like the fact that they are fighting against someone who actually will stand up for the American people.
