Just imagine, Nigeria Customs is boasting about a new extortion record, claiming a daily collection of N17.9bn, as if it's an achievement or something a sane country should be proud of. Your primary duty should be to monitor and regulate imports and exports with moderate, fair fees, not to serve as a revenue-generating arm of the @NigeriaGov. As the gatekeeper, your unreasonable, illegal, and immoral craving for extortion significantly contributes to the high cost of goods in the country. We've all lost our sense of right and wrong in this country.

The higher the custom collections, the higher the prices of goods and commodities. The consumers will continue to cry due to inflated prices.
