Apocalyptic scenes here in Antakya. Corpses wrapped in blankets lining the streets, survivors still being pulled from the rubble, practically every other house flattened. Rescue teams overwhelmed.

More here.

How awful. Just awful! Pray for Everyone who went through this. Love to all

I mean even the buildings that remain standing are reading to collapse or severally damaged. You cannot stay in them. You have to make a decision to leave your home just in case it does collapse.

@oryxspioenkop Problem is CONCRETE. It loses strength so quickly. Just after 10 years it loses 40% of its weight bearing capacity. It turns to cracker after 30 years. Meanwhile pyramids stand tall for 7000 years. Roman colosseum is made of VOLCANIC ASH concrete 1000 years ago.

Very sad, I have been to Antakya twice and it is heart-breaking to see those images 💔🥹

@AndreiCaramitru 😥😥😥😥

@lookner 2 am Istanbul / 1 am Damascus 46 hours after tragedy. #sondakika #Turkiye : 5,894 killed (by VP Fuat Oktay ) == #Syria : 2,370 killed Death toll: 8,264 Over 8,000 died 210+ aftershocks (3-6 SR) #DEPREM #Büyüklük

@sentdefender Truly horrific scenes

@sentdefender So sad. Just like the hundreds of places in Ukraine right now that so many people could care less about bc, ya know, why can’t we just let Hitler have whatever he wants and it’s costing sooo much money..😭

@lookner Can people even bury their loved ones? So tragic. Praying they are able to rescue more people.
