Haven't seen this much patriotism at a fight event since Apollo Creed entered the ring against Drago

This deleted Rocky IV (1985) funeral scene for Apollo Creed is considered by many fans to be far more emotional than the theatrical version. Sylvester Stallone cut it from the final film because he wanted a faster, more high energy pace instead of slower character moments.

🎬Rocky IV (1985) – Apollo Creed vs. Ivan Drago. 🍿🍿🍿🍿 What starts as an exhibition match quickly turns into something much darker. Apollo comes out dancing and showboating. Drago just stands there, cold and silent. The first real exchange tells you everything. Apollo hits Drago’s gloves and feels pure steel. From that moment the fight is already over — Apollo doesn’t know it yet. By the second round, the crowd is silent. Rocky is begging them to stop it. Apollo refuses. And then Drago delivers the final, brutal truth. One of the most shocking and unforgettable moments in the entire Rocky series. ❓Did this scene hit you harder as a kid, or does it feel even more brutal watching it as an adult? 👇 #RockyIV #ApolloCreed #IvanDrago #CarlWeathers #DolphLundgren #RockyBalboa

In hindsight, this Rocky III shit is hilarious, Apollo Creed is clearly at 3/4 speed trying to let this man win and Rocky literally fighting for his life.
