"You've gotten to a certain age and you view it as the apotheosis of your life's achievement in order to complete the journey. Imperial China is what Taiwan is, and the takeover by the CCP is not complete until Taiwan falls. I don't think Xi needs to go if KMT wins the election coming up. KMT almost won last time, and that is a rapprochement party to the CCP. It's an accommodation party. I believe a bullet may never need to be fired in order for China to get what they want. That's the more likely outcome. If Taiwan is overtaken in a military exercise, is there any doubt that these other countries that have real historical beefs will be next? I received the news of the passing of our highly reverred monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, GCON Ogbagba II, the Awujale of with great sadness and profound sense of loss. His death was a personal loss to me because we shared a great deal of confidence and close relationships. Kabiyesi, was not just our traditional ruler in Ìjèbú land, but a father figure to many of us. His life exemplified the true core values of what the whole of Ijebu people represent; he was the moral compass of integrity, courage and wisdom. He symbolizes the full essence of our culture and traditional values. In his 65 years on the throne, Kabiyesi, became the symbol and identity of progress, resourcefulness and enterprise earning the sobriquet as "Orisa Ijebu", an apotheosis of a god with spiritual authority and a dispenser of prosperity. His exit marked a significant closure of an exciting era and the reopening of a new chapter in the history of Ìjèbú and Yoruba land in general. His long reign and ripe old age filled a void in our ancestry and common history. We mourn! I extend my heartfelt commiseration to His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces , a personal friend and alter ego of Kabiyesi Awujale Adetona; to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun; to the good people of Ogun State and most especially every sons and daughters of Ìjèbú land at home and in the diaspora; my condolences to the Olorituns, the Council of Otunbas and Chiefs and to the immediate families of Kabiyesi Awujale on this loss. I am personally comforted that Kabiyesi Adetona has just transitioned into the eternal realm of immortality and spirituality where he will forever superintend over the affairs of Akile Ijebu and its prosperity. Why was Haiti 🇭🇹 denied membership status in the African Union but Israel 🇮🇱 is granted honorary observer status at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 🇪🇹? Pan Africanism in its present form is a failed imitation of the one WE published in America and the Caribbean during the time of W.E.B Dubois, Benito Sylvain, Martin Delaney and Henry M. Turner; which was refined in the Early to Mid 20th century in the Caribbean by Marcus Garvey, Jean Price Mars (and other honorable mentions.) Pan Africanism was inspired by the Haitian Revolution, the Seminole Wars, The German Coast Uprising in Louisiana, the Maroon Wars in Jamaica, and various resistance movements throughout the continent itself which later suffered tremendously under the Berlin Conference. Initially, Pan Africanism had at it's core BLACK NATIONALISM/NOIRISME as a fundamental prerequisite of a shared vision; as described by Marcus Garvey, and W.E.B Dubois who inspired such figures as Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyrere, Thomas Sankara and others with some collaboration from the Arabs in the North (i.e Gadaffi and Nasser etc) Today it is used as an artificial symbol of control by one of the most hypocritical and toxic administrations in Africa (Ethiopia) who themselves don't believe in its core precepts. (Professor PLO Lumumba of the Anti corruption commission in Kenya) PLO Lumumba had an interesting discussion on this with Marc Lamont Marc Lamont Hill which I will post below. (Regarding Israels presence in the African Union and denial of Haiti.) Were it not for the Diaspora there would be no concept of Pan Africanism as it existed at the time which was derived from the descendants of Black Africans who overcame the trials and tribulations of the West and saw themselves as saviours, like Toussaint and Malcolm X; Who's ethnogenesis as a people mixed of countless different tribes in the diaspora represented an apotheosis of African Nations and a transcendent example that was above petty disputes and more interested in a race based ideology, whos technological innovation and artistic sensibilities incorporated a synthesis of every tribe without compromising the beauty of each. Intellectuals that would later emerge out of the Harlem Renaissance and the Negritude movement would build on these foundations and fortify the concept by establishing strong diplomatic and cultural ties that linked the Caribbean, Francophone African Nations and the United States into a practical nationalist construct. Liberia 🇱🇷 was seen as one of the most significant spaces with potential for building. We can do this today. Just as Dr. Umar Ifatunde says regarding the establishment of new ties and the development of new infrastructure. But why is the African Union in the most ethnically divisive countries on the planet? One that endorses state sponsored terrorism, ethnic cleansing, anti-blackness (as a construct) and the systematic extermination of members of their own community? Senegal 🇸🇳 once petitioned to have the African Union removed from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and relocated for its own suspicions that Ethiopia had become a haven for tribalism and a neo colonial project trapped in the midst of a cold war dispute between America and Russia. Ghana 🇬🇭 seems to be the most credible undisputed representative of true Pan African ideology today. Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali are making headway. What do you think?
