Ah I was wondering what happened to play!

Was published on the European Commission's website this week, following a 4-month waiting period.

Holy shit I love this, really hope Apple can revive it or build a design adjacent tool. I miss Play so much and I feel being able to design the interface and hand off the Swift code it generated to AI now would have been the most perfect workflow for people who care about craft as you could really dial in the interactions and UI

Highly unlikely. Play was a failed, and discontinued, project. This is likely an acquisition for the design talent that worked there and not their discontinued product being released through Xcode.

Was able to download it but cant sign up ! Dam it! So maybe new xcode version will have this feature?

Either a completely new tool, or a big Xcode overhaul. Wouldn’t be surprised if it shows up at WWDC27.
