@iconists Am I the only one who thinks they completely missed the mark on the naming of this? HomeView just doesn’t have the ring to it that you expect from Apple… love the product, but it should’ve been called HomePod Max

The eco system of peripherals compatible with Apple Home is pathetic so this is a shiny expensive hub for a poor network of hardware. Hard pass

They don't miss!!! It is incredible, but everything Apple commits to, it kinda exceeds expectations

This will undoubtably be a winner. Over the next 2 years, we’re about to see almost every Apple user in the US (most of us are Apple users) adopt and have the HomeView in our homes. It’ll take two Christmas seasons. The biggest Apple criticizers always underestimate the value and stickiness of the Apple ecosystem.

Instead of everyone slopping in there individual phones, they all painfully share a home version of the same thing. Highkey don’t think the screen is necessary. But would be nice for a small family I guess.

the great thing is that apple is slowly becoming just another company. Not spectacular. Not trash. props to them for throwing a k1d doing whippets.
