Apple just announced its new Visual Intelligence for iPhone 16. It looks insane 🤯

I actually had a similar idea and decided to program a shortcut to get info about what I was seeing real-time! But Visual Intelligence takes it to a whole other level. Plus, it can interact with other apps, like adding automatically an event to your calendar!

And yes, very similar to Google Lens, nonetheless, it looks amazing and a great iPhone experience with “agentic” behavior. I enjoyed playing around with the shortcut I made that interacts with my surroundings—so seeing this feature as an Apple product is awesome.

Google Lens has been around for 7 years. This is in no way groundbreaking. Very underwhelming announcements today.
